YachtCheck by YachtBoss · Fort Lauderdale

Never get a
nasty surprise again.

We board your boat on a schedule, run a full systems check, and send you a written report with photos. You don’t have to be there. You just stop finding out the hard way.

What it is

Never wonder
what shape she’s in.

Boats don’t fail suddenly. They fail slowly, while nobody’s looking, and then all at once on the one weekend you wanted to use her.

The checklist

Your boat gets
her own checklist.

Not a generic form with half the boxes marked N/A. We build the list around your vessel, her systems and her known weak spots, then run the same list every visit with a photo on every item.

01

Engine Room

Bow and stern thruster compartments opened and inspected: clean and dry, damp, or starting to corrode. Logged with photos every time.

02

Bilges

Aft, midship and forward. Every pump and float switch tested, and anything unusual noted: oil, fuel, water, coolant.

03

Strainers

A/C, generator and engine strainers cleaned, with a before and after photo of each.

04

Engines & Generator

Engines started and idled fifteen minutes with the RPM screen photographed. Generator run and oil level checked.

05

Filter Dates

Oil and fuel filter dates recorded per engine, port and starboard, so nothing runs past its interval.

06

Electronics

VHF, chart plotter, engine data, autopilot, radar, thermal camera, trim tabs and spotlight. Each powered up and photographed.

07

Fire & Safety

Fireboy and extinguisher expiry dates read and logged, needles checked in the green, flares and lifejackets counted.

08

Tanks & Comfort

Diesel, freshwater and blackwater levels photographed. A/C cooling, fridges, heads, sinks and showers all run.

09

Deck & Ground Tackle

Bimini raised and lowered, nav and deck lights, hatches dried and checked for leaks, windlass exercised.

Typical sections on a 50 to 60 foot vessel. Your list is built to match what’s actually aboard. The YachtCheck program provides a condition and readiness report. It is not a marine survey and is not intended for insurance or pre-purchase use. Where we introduce or coordinate an outside contractor, that contractor is responsible for their own work and carries their own insurance.

Why it pays

Small problems
stay small.

A strainer caught in month one is a ten minute job. Caught in month six it took the compressor with it. Everything expensive on a boat announces itself quietly first.

Pricing

Your price drops
when your dock fills up.

Most of what a check costs us is travel. Eight boats in one marina means one trip instead of eight, and we hand that saving straight back. Get to twenty in the same neighborhood and it drops again.

Priced individually. Tell us the vessel and where she sits and we will quote it.

Both drops apply to every boat already signed up, not just the new ones. Sign up first and your rate falls as your neighbors join. Nothing to renegotiate, no forms, no asking. If your area already qualifies, you pay the lower rate from your first check.

Referral program

Refer a boat.
Get a free check.

Refer the boat next to you. When they sign up, your next check is free. Refer three and you get three. There’s no cap, and nothing owed if they decide it isn’t for them. Every boat you bring in also moves your dock toward the next rate drop, so your own price falls too.

By invitation

Ten boats get
the full program.

Complete yacht management is capped at ten vessels, and we don’t advertise it. Berths go to YachtCheck clients we’ve come to know well and enjoy working with.

If that’s the relationship you want, start with a scheduled check. It’s how we meet everyone we end up managing.

Owners

Handled with care.
Their words, not ours.

Yacht Boss takes all the stress out of owning a boat. I used to spend half my weekends cleaning and checking systems — now I just show up and enjoy. The team is super responsive, detail-oriented, and easy to work with. It’s like having a pit crew for my yacht.

The guys at YachtBoss have taken really good care of me, my family, and my boat! I truly feel like they have my best interests at heart and always go the extra mile. Most recently, I had a mechanical issue come up late on a Friday with a big day planned that Sunday. I thought the weekend was a loss, but they pulled strings, coordinated service, and somehow made the impossible happen. My boat was ready to go by Sunday morning. That kind of dedication and responsiveness is rare, and it’s exactly why I trust YachtBoss.

I’ve worked with a few different companies over the years, but Yacht Boss is on another level. They treat my boat like it’s their own — always clean, fueled, and ready to hit the water. Their detailing work is flawless, and the communication is top-notch. What I love most is that it doesn’t feel transactional — it feels like a true partnership. Highly recommend.

Tell us the boat and the marina. That’s the whole ask. If neighbors are already on the schedule, you get their rate from day one.
